Streaming Life Daily
Hey Lykkers! 💬 Let me tell you what being a full-time game streamer actually looks like — not just what you see on camera. I've learned all this from talking with streamers every single day, and trying a whole “streamer-style routine” myself.
Spoiler alert: it's way more than just gaming.
☀️ Wake Up (Not Super Early)
Most streamers I know wake up between 9 and 10:30AM — they're night owls. Me? I picked 9:45AM. First thing? Stretch, water, and scroll through everything. Twitch chat, Discord messages, and those annoying update notifications.
No makeup, no ring light yet. Just messy hair and hoodie vibes. 😅
🧰 Setup is Serious Work
By 11AM, I was checking my OBS, adjusting my webcam, and testing my mic. Trust me, one small glitch and the whole vibe crashes.
Background matters too — so I moved my laundry pile out of frame 😂
I spent at least 30 minutes figuring out which game to play. I even made a mini plan: intro talk, 2 ranked matches, some chaos rounds, then chat Q&A. It felt like prepping for a mini show.
🎮 Live Stream Time
I went live at 1PM. The first 10 minutes were just chilling with people who showed up early.
Then once the game started, it was full focus.
But here's what surprised me: you're not just playing. You're also reading chat, responding with energy, keeping the mood fun — and still trying to win. I was multitasking so hard my brain nearly overheated 🫠
After about 2 hours, my throat started drying up from non-stop talking. I never realized how vocal streamers are!
🍱 Food + Chill
After stream, I literally ran to make lunch. Instant noodles saved me. 🍜
Then I rested my eyes — no screens for 30 mins. My neck was already complaining. Streamers really need to stretch more! 😵💫
🎬 Edit + Post
Editing was another beast. I spent an hour cutting clips, writing a good caption, and scheduling them for Instagram and TikTok.
Then I checked DMs, replied to a few messages, and made a mental note of tomorrow's content.
🌙 Night Wind Down
At night, I played some cozy games off-stream (because yes, even streamers still want to play when not working), then crashed at 1AM.
It's a weird mix of high energy and quiet solo time. But somehow it works.
💬 So, Lykkers...
Streaming is not just sitting there playing games. It's planning, performing, editing, and connecting — all rolled into one.
If you're thinking about it: try a “streamer day” like I did. Even without going live, just try the routine. You'll learn so much about your own energy, focus, and creativity. 🎧
Do you think you could do this every day? Or already tried streaming before? Drop me your thoughts — I'd love to hear what your routine looks like too! 💬👇
