Charming Chacha Tower
In the coastal city of Batumi, Georgia, we found a truly unexpected attraction — the Chacha Tower, a striking 25-meter-high bell tower that blends elegance, cultural symbolism, and a touch of fun.
Located right by the seafront, this unique structure isn’t just a clock tower — it once had fountains that poured real chacha, Georgia’s famous grape-based spirit.

What Makes Chacha Tower So Special?

Built in 2012 as part of Batumi’s urban renewal projects, the Chacha Tower reflects a blend of Ottoman-style architecture with modern charm. It features a gleaming golden dome, arched white walls, and four corner fountains that once attracted global attention by serving free chacha during festivals. Though the chacha fountains are no longer active, the story remains one of the most unforgettable parts of Batumi’s tourism scene.
